(1953-2013)
A Faithful Christian, a Devoted Wife, the Best Mother,
a Wonderful Grandmother, and a Loving Friend to All
My family and all the members of the church of Christ in the town of
Campaign mourn the passing of a very faithful member of the church, my Mama, sister Shirley Gann. My Mother passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She served many years as a Bible Class Teacher for young children and
also worked with ladies in Ladies’ Day programs. She lived the
Words of the Bible, and has now gone to her reward in Paradise. She is the strongest and most faithful person I have ever seen in my lifetime.
She guided me in everything and helped me to become what I am. We will always remember and love my Mother. II Corinthians 1:3 calls God, “the God of all comfort”. Please keep my family and myself in your prayers.
We miss my Mama every day. We are working every day to see her again.
In Christian love,
Jason Gann

Notes about the

4th Bible Lectureship
Thanks to all who helped to make our 4th Bible Lectureship, held on November 16-17, 2024, a spiritual success! The theme of this Bible Lectureship was "Students of Tennessee Bible College Preaching the Word." We thank our guest speakers, Elijah Alexander, Jase Bohanan, Brad Burkett, Trent Nivens, and Joelah Solomon for preaching sound lessons. We are thankful for the Open Forum that was also held. Thanks to all who participated in the services. Thanks to those who prepared food for the fellowship meals each day and who helped in any way. Thanks to each one who invited others and for each visitor who came. We had people visit from several congregations in Warren County and other counties. There
were 16 congregations represented on Saturday of the Bible Lectureship and several
represented on Sunday of the Bible Lectureship. We are thankful that students of Tennessee
Bible College preached to us in this Bible Lectureship. We pray for these men who are
early in their preaching careers to have many years to come if it be the Lord’s will in His
service. We pray for Tennessee Bible College in the work of training preachers, teachers,
and other Christian workers. Let us pray that the memories made and lessons proclaimed
in this Bible Lectureship will continue to encourage us to live faithfully every day.

Welcome to the website for the church of Christ in Campaign, TN! This website serves as an expedient in taking the Gospel unto the lost (Matthew 28:18-20), edifying the members (Ephesians 4:16), and being an example unto the world by way of providing information about the congregation as we support the truth (Matthew 5:14). I Timothy 3:15 tells us that the church of the living God is the pillar and ground of the truth. One of the greatest ways to reach the lost is by way of the World Wide Web and thus this website was officially created on January 1, 2012 to serve as a support of the truth! We are so thankful that you have come to visit the website and we hope that you find your stay very fruitful.
You should know that the Campaign church of Christ is a friendly church seeking to edify each other as we shine as lights unto the world. In Acts 2, the church of Christ was founded by Jesus Christ on the first Pentecost after His resurrection (Matthew 16:18). The church is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets with the Chief Cornerstone being Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:19-22, I Peter 2:4-6, I Corinthians 3:11, Isaiah 28:16, Matthew 16:18). The church of Christ has no earthly headquarters, but her headquarters are found in Heaven, where Jesus sits on the Right Hand of the Throne of God (Acts 2:29-31). The church of Christ is made up of many congregations, such as Corinth of Bible times (I Corinthians 1:2) and Philippi (Philippians 1:1). Romans 16:16 says, “The churches of Christ salute you.” The Campaign church of Christ functions as all faithful congregations of the church of Christ do under the Head of the church, Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:18).
The Campaign church of Christ follows no traditions of men (Colossians 2:8). We seek to always speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent (Revelation 22:18-19, Galatians 1:6-9). The miraculous ceased on the earth when the revelation was completely given and proven to be from God (I Corinthians 13:8-10, Mark 16:20, Hebrews 2:3-4). The revelation of God was completely given in the First Century (II Peter 1:3, Jude 3), thus miracles ceased when the Apostles and those upon whom Apostles laid their hands to impart miraculous gifts died (Acts 8:5-24). We know that the Holy Scriptures contain all things that we need to know in order to go to Heaven, because they are breathed of God and are profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness making the man of God complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (II Peter 1:3, II Timothy 3:16-17). The Old Law has been nailed to the cross, so we do only that which is authorized by Jesus Christ in the New Testament, which is binding upon us today (Colossians 2:14, 3:17). We do attempt to learn from the examples of the Old Testament, which was written for our learning (Romans 15:4, I Corinthians 10:11).
We assemble on the first day of every week to offer worship unto God in spirit and in truth, which involves preaching and listening to preaching, singing, praying, offering, and observing the Lord’s Supper (John 4:23-24). We also have two regular times for Bible Study classes every week. The Campaign church of Christ follows exactly what the church of Christ of the First Century followed and that is God’s Word and God’s Word alone.
The church of Christ was originally established in Jerusalem in or around the year 30 (Isaiah 2:1-4, Luke 24:49-50, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:41, 47). The congregation of the church of Christ at Campaign was established in 1923. All that the church is commanded to do by Scripture falls within three categories: evangelism (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, II Timothy 2:2), edification (I Corinthians 14:12, Hebrews 5:12-6:2), and benevolence (Matthew 22:27-40, James 1:27, Galatians 6:10). The Campaign congregation fulfills these works by way of sound Gospel preaching from the pulpit and sound Gospel teaching in each Bible study class. The congregation offers classes for all ages on Sunday morning and Wednesday night. The congregation hosts a yearly Vacation Bible School and Gospel Meeting. The congregation also helps to spread the Gospel through the publication of a weekly evangelistic bulletin, this online website, and the financial support of missionaries. The congregation also attempts to help in the training of future Gospel preachers and teachers. The congregation offers many opportunities for fellowship among her members and has an active youth group. The congregation is committed to helping those who are truly in need. As you can see, the Campaign church of Christ is a very active church involved in many areas of the Lord’s work.
